Cookies policy

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are text files that are placed on your computer’s hard drive and then sent back to the web server when the website is accessed at a later time.

In general, there are two types of cookies: session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, and temporary/permanent cookies, which are stored for a longer period of time or permanently on your data storage medium. This storage helps us to correspondingly design our websites and our offerings for you, and it facilitates use by you by, for example, storing certain entries you make in such a way that you do not need to constantly repeat them.

We also use browser-based “Web beacons”. Web beacons are considered third-party cookies. They are placed on a website or in an email and are used to enable the analysis of the online behaviour of visitors to the website or when clicking on the newsletter.

2. What kinds of cookies does LAND-LEBEN use?

Most of the cookies we use are session cookies, which are automatically deleted from your hard drive when you close your browser. In addition, we use cookies that remain on your hard drive. When you come back to the site, it is automatically recognised that you have already visited us and what entries and settings you prefer. These temporary and also permanent cookies (lifetime of one month to ten years) are stored on your hard drive and delete themselves after the specified time. In particular, these cookies are used to make our website more user-friendly, more effective, and more secure. These files make it possible, for instance, to display information to you that is tailored to your interests. The sole purpose of these cookies is to tailor our website to your customer wishes as best as possible and to enable you to surf our site as conveniently as possible.

3. What data do cookies store?

The cookies used by LAND-LEBEN store only pseudonymous data. When the cookie is activated, it is assigned an identification number. Your personal data are not associated with this identification number. Your name, IP address, and similar data that would enable a direct attribution of the cookie to you are not stored in the cookie.

4. Re-Targeting

In some cases, our website uses what are known as “re-targeting” technologies. By using these technologies, we can design our website in a way that is more interesting for you. The technologies make it possible for internet users who have already shown interest in our store and our products to be approached with advertising on the websites of our partners. These advertising resources are displayed on our partners’ sites on the basis of a cookie technology and an analysis of previous usage behaviour. This form of advertising is completely pseudonymous. When cookies are used, usage data about you are collected, stored, and used. In addition, your data in cookies remain stored after you end your browser session and may be retrieved again, for instance, when you visit the websites next time.

5. How can the storage of cookies be prevented?

You can configure your browser settings in such a way that the storage of cookies is accepted if you permit it, thus preventing the further placement of cookies in the future. If you want to accept only LAND-LEBEN cookies but not those of our service providers and partners, you can configure the settings in your browser to “block third-party cookies”. The help function in the menu bar of your web browser shows you how to reject new cookies and to turn off those that you have already received. If you block cookies, it may be the case that you will not (or no longer) be able to register, log in, or use the services of our website in full.

Moreover, you can manage many online advertisement cookies of companies by visiting the U.S. site http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU site http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/.

6. Google Analytics

This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043, U.S.

Google (Universal) Analytics uses methods that make it possible to analyse how you use the website, such as, for example, how cookies are stored on your computer. The information generated by cookies about your use of this website is normally transferred to a Google server in the U.S. and stored there. By activation of IP anonymisation on this website, the IP address is shortened prior to transfer within the Member States of the European Union or to other Contracting States of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the U.S. and shortened there. The anonymised IP address transferred from your browser in connection with Google Analytics is not combined with other Google data. You can prevent the capture and processing by Google of the data generated by the cookie relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. As an alternative to the browser plug-in, you can click on that link in order to prevent capture in future by Google Analytics on this website. For this purpose, an opt-out cookie is placed on your end device. If you delete your cookies, you will need to click on the link again.

More information about the terms and conditions of use and about data protection is available at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/.
